District Five, Abusement Park and Team Deepwell were back again for Battle of the Balls VII. Joining them were newcomers Force Fate and the Puckheads.
District Five topped the round robin, followed by Force Fate, Abusement Park and Deepwell. Without a win, the Puckheads failed to qualify for the playoffs. In a rematch of the BOTB V final, District Five defeated Team Deepwell 10-2 in the semfinals. Force Fate, meanwhile, eliminated Abusement Park by a 7-3 score. The two top-ranked teams met in the final where District Five won their fourth title by a 7-2 score. Scoring from long range all tournament, District Five defenceman David Wright earned MVP honours. Boom.
